SoF Movie Discussion v2

I didn't realize the old movie thread is like 4 years old.

Anyway has anyone seen the Guardians of the the Galaxy movie? I thought it was a lot of fun. Planning on seeing it again this weekend with Jen since she was busy when it opened.

Any criticism I'd have is from the me being nit-picky from reading the comics. Still my eyes were watering from laughing so much.

I enjoyed it. I didn't know any of the story from the comics so this was a completely new tie in IP to me. It was a good laugh and, thankfully, didn't seem to take itself too seriously.

I saw the new planet of the apes and I was surprised by it. It was actually good. I will watch Guardians of the the Galaxy when I find the time for it: looking forward to it.

I found by chance a gem of a movie Coherence. I liked it alot http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2866360/.
It would help if you know what Schrödinger's cat is but it is not a must.
Important: DO NOT WATCH ANY TRAILERS, you will enjoy the movie more without watching it.

Saw Hercules yesterday.

Overall worthy watch, but not really a MUST WATCH. Kept me entertained for the remainder of the movie. I'd rate it 7.5/10

Dwayne Johnson played his role pretty well but the true hercules will always be the classic Xena one. Irina Shayk's role was pretty much "playing a dead corpse" rather than holy shit Christiano Ronaldo's fiance is in the movie

Also saw Planet of the Apes, surprising good and highly recommend it!

Its a trick! Get an Axe.

Went and saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the cinema this afternoon.

Enjoyed it. Went with 2 die-hard Star Wars fans. One was a bit antsy about some of the story-line elements, the other really enjoyed it.

Have you seen it yet and what did you think?

I really liked it. It was so exciting I forgot I needed to go to the toilet for most of the movie.

I ended up thinking about it quite a bit after I had seen it - which doesn't happen often. Can' wait for the next episode as the director of ep 8 is a champion.

I also saw Hateful Eight....I keep thinking about that movie as well. Really tense with great music but some over the top violence and themes.

Still, very riveting.

(re-birthing this too)

Can't wait to go see the new Alice movie... if only because it is Alan Rickman's final performance.

Went last weekend to the drive in and saw Captain America: Civil War and Jungle Book
I went in being 'Team Cap' because I'd read the comic and knew which side of the argument I supported. and I had heard that it wasn't anything like the comic storyline; that was no joke! I feel that a lot of things didn't click though because I'm not really a Cap fan (nor a Chris Evans fan), so I havent watched Winter Soldier.
Can't wait for Black Panther's movie.
New Spider-man (Ultimate Spider-man?) doesn't get my approval. I just didn't feel it.

Jungle Book on the other hand impressed me. The wonders of CGI and Animation today compared to when I was a kid(1980's/90's).
It has a good bit of scare in it too.
