Building a new PC

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/relt/saved/7V448d

This is what I came up with today. My decisions may have become dumber as I got more and more tired, yet refused to go to bed until I had a first draft. Thoughts?

This is nearly what I got 2ish years ago, as far as types/brands concerned.
Though this is performance wise stepped up quite a few notches of course.

Same CPU Cooler, and a (older) TWIN FROZR Card aswell, never had any problems.
Not sure on the Corsair Case and EVGA for a PSup, always went with a Coolermaster but i doubt there will be any problems there.

Only thing that I see is the Blu-Ray Reader, unless you really want one might suggest a normal cheap DVD drive.
As disks are hardly used anyway and that budget probably better spend on a larger SSD.
As i have a 120GB aswell, and need to manage that space quite well/often regarding e.g games.

Though could always add an extra one in the future i guess.

Updated based on some other feedback I've gotten: blu-ray drive is out (I never would have thought it couldn't watch movies off the bat), switched mobo and gpu to Gigabyte (seems to be a more reliable brand), switched to Corsair memory (again, reliablity), switched to a non-modular, more well known PSU (more reliability...I'm an engineer, what can i say ) and picked out a different case.

Case wise, this one is supposed to be pretty quiet, and I like the look, but of course quiet means it probably won't cool as well either. And I live in Georgia, so I probably want to do everything I can to keep things cool. We'll see if it stays. My real question now is whether I want to stick with the SSD or opt for a single, higher quality HDD. What experience have people had with the SSD/HDD combo? Is it worth it?

Absolutely do stick with a SSD. I brought my 7 year old rig back to life by installing a 240GB SSD, the difference to a HDD is stunning. You keep the OS and the programs you use often (aka GW? ) on SSD and store the rest of the stuff on HDD, nice and sleazy.

Double post, I know, but I think I'm ready to pull the trigger. Any more comments on the parts? Any advice for the actual build (hopefully next Saturday, if not before)?

If you still haven't pulled the trigger, I would say switch to an ASUS motherboard. My current machine has a Gigabyte motherboard, and I hate it with a passion. I usually go with ASUS, but the Gigabyte board was $20 cheaper. Big mistake.

Too late, it's already in! For the past 6 hours it's been fine, but I guess we'll have to see. Only had one little hiccough with the build--I mounted the SSD onto the back of the motherboard plate, but only checked that the mobo had straight SATA cables and forgot to check the PSU's cables. Of course it only had right angled connectors; off to Micro Center! I had to go out for a bit right about then anyway, so it ended up not being too big a hassle. Now comes the fun part of getting all the software/games set up...again (I reinstalled windows on my laptop at the beginning of the year, bleh). Pics for you later.
