Victrix Match Report - 21 March 2007

Ego Trip From Rank [iQ] +2

A pretty severe face smashing, they were running eurohex (2 mels dervs, 1 migraine, 1 reapers, and i think they had a tainted) - Before they could really apply too much shut down we smashed them in the face.

They were pushed back pretty quick. We couldn't really push them because our monks were lagging like crazy and we took a lot of deaths as a result.

Come VoD we had the NPC advantage and sure as hell had the morale advantage. We party wiped them before 22 and killed their lord.

Legion of Valhalla [iQ] +2

They were running a lot of fire eles on Jade Isle, we were lagging again so died a lot, but really built up pressure through their 27 or so copies of Aegis. They had 2 archers by VoD. And we just killed their fire eles before they could do any NPC damage.

_

Both matches lasted forever because we took a lot of deaths due to Tap and JMS 1000+ pings ^^

Unrateds with Time is Running [iQ]

It is important to note my ping was also 1K+, though not ever at the same time as JMS oddly

Here comes the obligatory stupid questions form the PvP-noob:

All three of those guilds have the same guild tag? Is that a typo or is there something behind it that I don't get?

What is "QQ spike"?

I think it was QQ's build, that OUT ran - I don't know, I know they had the same 3 monk backline - which consists of Divert Hexes, RC and Healers Boon or something.

The iQ thing is to do with the recent news that iQ have been playing on numerous second account guilds in secret and this has recently come to light.

These guilds being

Stars And Bars [dixi]
We Are Using The Internet [AOL]

and some others.

No one really knew who Stars and Bars were except they were new and played the game pretty convincingly and handed out severe stompings to everyone, including us a couple of times ^^.

You cannot be too sure on who iQ are!

Before each match, Rob and Gus asked the other team if they were an iQ smurf. Funny stuff. Here's the background, for those who are confused: http://www.teamquitter.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1055

Up until 2 weeks ago my pings had been fine, but now I frequently pass the 1,000ms mark. Has the lag started recently for you guys too?

Rob, on the Jade Isle map you were able to dev hammer in quick succession (this might be my lag while watching the match). The only thing on your bar that made it seem possible was frenzy frenzy frenzy. Did you have outside help to build adrenaline, or a furious hammer?

It was just Frenzy. Combined with the fact I could Bull's a Target so they couldn't kite, plus they didn't kite much anyway, just built fast despite the multiple aegis

I gather QQ and iQ don't exactly like each other, do they?

Although they both disavow it, I think they protest too much. It's fun, harmless drama regardless of whether it's true.
